Most of my Photographic sensibilities and appreciation has come random photographers and images that I’ve found browsing around the internet.

I’m not at all trained in the art, I have no knowledge of it’s history, and really no place even attempting to take pictures and call myself a “Photographer”, but I enjoy it so much and have spent so much time on it that I felt compelled to start this Blog so I could share it with all of you.

A couple of the only Photographers I’m even the least bit aware of, and whom I admire enormously both for their skill behind the lens, and their remarkable courage at venturing into the unknown, are the venerable Ansel Adams, and Galen Rowell.

These two took nature or landscape photography to an entirely different level, and I think that all of us owe pioneers and visionaries like them a great deal of respect for bringing us other-wordly scenes of beauty from the natural environment.

I can only hope that one day I’ll take a photo or two that are half as good as the worst that these masters produced.

Until then, I’ll just have to keep firing away and hope to get lucky!
