Honestly, who doesn’t love camping? I’m sure there’s someone out there who doesn’t dig it, but I sure as hell haven’t met them yet. I’ve been camping since I was a toddler and feel like I was born to sleep under the stars. I honed my skills over 13 years of practice as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, then perfected my abilities after graduating from college and re-discovering my love of the outdoors.
The sights, smells and especially sounds of the wild are like nothing else. The freedom and the feeling of complete liberation from society, technology, money and especially superficial stress are something that all of us could use more of, especially these days. Do yourself a favor and get on the Chayacitra Camping Diet – plan one trip per month, whether it’s a week long escapade or just a one night foray, you’re sure to feel refreshed when you make your way back to that comfy bed of yours.
This section of the site hosts just a few of my favorite camping trips that I’ve taken either alone, with friends or more recently with my budding family (wife and pugs). I’ve toured a pretty sizable chunk of the South West, stopping in just about all of the most notable National Parks in Southern California, Arizona and Utah, and I’m happy to bring some of the sights and experiences to you. If I can do one thing by sharing my adventures, it’s to encourage you to get out there and have an experience of your own.
If you should do just that, be sure to drop back in and let me know how it went! I can’t wait to see your own shots and hear about what you discovered for yourself!
